Types of Implant Dentures

Teeth In a Day (All on 4)

The All-on-4 denture is a popular and advanced dental treatment used to replace an entire arch of missing or severely damaged teeth. It uses 4-6 dental implants to support a full set of teeth, offering a more stable, permanent

solution than traditional dentures.

You come in with your damaged natural teeth, and you leave with a set of fixed teeth you can use right away (with some precautions).

The procedure is as follows:

The temporary fixed denture is made before the extractions of your natural teeth. On the day of extractions, implants are placed and the teeth are secured to those implants. You will have several follow-up appointments with the surgeon to make sure you are healing well.

6 Months after surgery, you will come back to replace the temporary bridge with a final permanent one.

Fixed Implant Dentures

Fixed Implant Dentures known as permanent dentures are the most similar option to natural teeth. The are non-removable and replace all the missing teeth in the arch. You do not need to have an implant for every tooth.

With our fixed dentures they can be supported with only 4-6 implants.

Difference between Fixed Implant Dentures and All on 4:

The main difference is with an all on 4 the temporary denture is fixed to the implants during surgery. While the Fixed Implant Denture is done in several stages. First your teeth are extracted and the bone is left to heal. Implants are placed and once they heal and are solid the Fixed Implant Denture is made. During the healing process you will have a temporary denture to replace your teeth.

Removable Implant Dentures

A Removable Implant Denture is the most cost effective implant option availiable. A minimum of 2 implants are placed. After the implants are healed and fused with the bone, the dentures are snapped in using attachments.

With this option, the teeth can be removed for cleaning. The dentures will feel much more secure and the chewing ability is greatly improved.

Bar Retained Implant Denture

A Bar Retained Over Denture are removable dentures snapped onto an implant bar. The bar is made of milled titanium and is attached to 3 or more implants. The implant bar provides more stability and support to the denture.

The bar also takes the majority of the pressure off of your gums allowing for a more comfortable fit and feel.
